Like in any entrepreneurial venture they have their ups and downs.Everybody likes joining in - being a part of the up times, but almost nobody is around for the down times.The two of us have experienced both, in fact our initial venture was a niche media website that we bought for $700 that initially was failing causing money loss, hundreds of hours goodbye, frustration, and embarrassment to tell anyone.


Instead of quitting/shutting down the project we buckled down & decided too see it through. After numerous amounts of time studying how we could make this thing work...we noticed something.Out of all the aspects that came with the niche news site. It had an inkling of a small community around 800 people. After seeing that potential...we cut down on everything else (content creation/buying, getting writers, hunting down advertisers etc.)With our attention solely focused on kindling that community - pivoting it to a niche Buy - Sell - Trade within the niche. Just when we thought we were done for and the end was near...things took another course.


Today that initial inkling of a community stands at 9,000 + members. With (Lower Estimation) about $350,000 worth of items listed from members with the average price around $35-$75 per listing.While managing and building this community we noticed that its members would need help with a litany of problems that they faced. Two of these problems we're working on currently in helping the community is a standalone newsletter to see the best deals.As well as a web developement agency for the large & smaller businesses who need help with marketing.


Despite these facts we’ve realized like any other boot strapped founder success isn’t about any pedigrees. It’s about taking the road less traveled while everyone else passes you by in the safe lane shaking their heads at your unusual choices.Persevering through adversity with persistence and determination well past when others who would have given up. Which many who contact you don’t understand, unlike us.
